Buffalo Bills Injury Report, Week 10: Dave Rayner To Step In For Rian Lindell

Usually when the kicker has to make a tackle on special teams, it means that something bad has happened. In this particular case for the Buffalo Bills, something bad did happen, just after the play was over.

In the Bills 27-11 loss to the New York Jets, Rian Lindell was forced to make a tackle in order to prevent a long return from the Jets. In making the tackle, the kicker broke a bone in his shoulder and is now out indefinitely. Buffalo went out and signed Dave Rayner to a contract, Rayner was 13 of 16 on field-goal attempts in eight games with Detroit last season.

Also, Bills head coach Chan Gailey confirmed that standout defensive tackle Kyle Williams had surgery Wednesday on his foot. Williams was placed on injured reserve Tuesday and will be out for the remainder of the season.
