Great News For Cowboys Fans: Akwasi Owusu-Ansah Has Been Cut

According to Todd Archer, the Cowboys are calling up rookie fullback Shaun Chapas for Sunday’s game in Arizona because Tony Fiammetta may still be out with his mysterious illness. Losing Fiammetta has been a tough blow. Just as the Dallas running game seemed to be lifting off for the first time in years, Fiammetta went down and it’s sputtered. Chapas won’t be as effective of a lead blocker, but he does give Jason Garrett an element that his offense has lacked.

The silver lining in the whole thing is that Cowboys fans won’t have to watch Akwasi Owusu-Ansah field punts as he sprints toward his own goal line or return kickoffs that should be touchbacks to the 15 yard line. That will be refreshing.
