The Dallas Cowboys called up safety turned wide receiver Akwasi Owusu-Ansah from the practice squad according to Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas. The Cowboys are calling up Owusu-Anash for Sunday's game against Buffalo Bills with the expectation that he will be returning kicks. Owusu-Ansah was the Cowboys fourth round pick in 2010 and he averaged 21.7 yards on 25 kick returns in his rookie season before an ankle injury put an end to his season.
To make room for Owusu-Anash, the Cowboys went ahead and released offensive lineman Daniel Loper.and the Cowboys had planned to use rookie Dwayne Harris, but he injured his hamstring during Thursdays practice. Owusu-Anash took kick and punt returns with the first team during Friday's practice.
