Well, it didn't take Tashard Choice long to find a new home. Yet it seems that the team he signed with has a penchant of finding talent (for better or worse) within their own the division, the NFC East.
Per ESPN, #Redskins claim RB Tashard Choice off waivers from Dallas.
Yes, the Redskins have been ravaged by injuries this season. Washington's opening day starter and free-agent acquisition (from Arizona) Tim Hightower was put on injured reserve with an ACL injury, but could there be a case of guerrilla warfare tactics going on with head coach Mike Shanahan and the Skins coaching staff? It came out recently that Choice had never been a favorite of Jason Garrett, so Choice could be a motivated producer in the Redskins' zone blocking scheme the rest of the way.
With Hightower out, Ryan Torain (166 yards) and Roy Helu (131 yards) have attempted to pickup the slack. Torain has been a favorite of Shanahan's, but has been highly injury prone since being a free-agent signing after finishing his career at Arizona State. Helu, a rookie out of Nebraska, has shown flashes but has struggled in pass protection thus far.
