Vince Wilfork responded on Friday to Phil Costa's comments, and he responded in a manner that you'd expect a Bill Belichick coached player to.
↵↵↵Wilfork was told of the remarks. Immediately, he started laughing.
↵"That's fine," Wilfork said. "I play on Sundays. I'm not a media guy, getting back and forth. I'll be there Sunday. He can tell me that then. I don't care about all that stuff."

For whatever reason, the Cowboys can't seem to help themselves when they're playing the Patriots. Back in 2007, Terrell Owens told everybody that he was the real 81, and to get your popcorn ready and all that jazz. After New England beat the Cowboys in Dallas, then-Cowboy Patrick Crayton guaranteed the media that Dallas would be in the Super Bowl, and that they'd see the Patriots again in Arizona... if New England made it.
↵Costa's comments aren't going to make the Patriots or Wilfork try any harder than they normally would, but they're still unnecessary and just plain wrong. Wilfork is one of the top defensive tackles in the league, and should Wilfork take Costa to task on Sunday, he'll look more foolish than he does.
