Super Bowl XLV In Dallas: Christina Aguilera To Sing National Anthem

Looks like we're getting Xtina for our national anthem at the first Dallas Super Bowl. I thought that we might have someone with a little more of a local connection, but after all this is an NFL/FOX venture. That pair made the announcement today, along with the announcement that the roof will in fact be closed for the game.

Looking at the 10-day forecast for Arlington on weather.com, at this point it looks like weather during the week should be pretty nice, with the exception of Tuesday, when "snow showers" are in the forecast. Many of those visiting will have been to DFW before, but the experience of arriving to near freezing temps with sleet and having to get to the car rental area at DFW Airport, then driving maybe 30 minutes to your hotel destination in that mess isn't the most ideal scenario.

With the Black Eyed Peas performing at halftime, I'm at least looking forward to the music press conference during the week. Corby Davidson should have a picnic.
