NFL Pro Bowl: No Cowboys Among Top Vote Getters, Tom Brady Receives Most Votes

The dust has settled in the fan portion of the Pro Bowl voting - and there's no Cowboys to be found among the top vote getters.

↵

Leading all voting was likely NFL MVP Tom Brady, who surged past Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. Brady finished with 1,877,079 votes while Vick finished with 1,522,437. Quarterbacks Peyton Manning, Phillip Rivers and Drew Brees rounded out the top five overall vote getters.

Adrian Peterson led all running backs with nearly 950,000 votes while Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson led all wide outs with just over 600,000 votes.

↵

The Packers had four players lead their respective positions in the NFC. Tackle Chad Clifton, guard Josh Sitton, outside linebacker Clay Matthews and cornerback Charles Woodson all led their positions in the NFC. Aaron Rodgers was third in the vote getting among NFC quarterbacks, behind Vick and Brees.

It's not terribly surprising that the Dallas Cowboys were essentially shut out in this portion of the Pro Bowl voting. Nobody on the team has played exceptionally well on a consistent basis, and nobody has particularly gaudy numbers that fans flock to vote for.

The full rosters will be announced at 7 PM EST on the NFL Network on Tuesday, December 28.
