Cowboys Vs. Redskins: Dallas Up 20-7 At Half

David Buehler kicked his second field goal of the day – a 20 yarder – to put the Cowboys up 13-0 on the Redskins early in the second quarter. Washington would respond when Rex Grossman hooked up with Ryan Torian for a 19 yard touchdown strike, bringing the Redskins within six points.

Dallas responded in kind, when Jon Kitna led Dallas on a nine play, 91 yard drive which culminated with a 14 yard touchdown pass from Kitna to tight end Jason Witten, giving the Cowboys a 20-7 lead.

Kitna is playing particularly well against a weak Redskins defense. Through the first half, Kitna is 17 of 26 for 222 yards and a pair of touchdown passes. Witten leads Dallas’ receivers with six receptions for 85 yards.

Gerald Sensabaugh suffered a concussion in the second quarter and will not return to the game. Sensabaugh intercepted Grossman earlier in the game. He is the second Cowboys defender to leave the game with a concussion, joining Sean Lee. Lee, like Sensabaugh, will not return.
