My Cowboys Post-Debacle Questions

1. How did Tashard Choice get such an incorrect read on his playing time for this game? I know that he gets excited about playing, but was he told one thing during the week, only to have it vetoed by a GMy/ownery type before the game?

2. We wouldn't have learned that much about Stephen McGee if he'd played the fourth quarter, but how could it have been that bad for him? It would have been real game time at a point in a game where the pace was probably manageable.

3. Not to bury the lead, but here's what I'm most curious about. This Dallas media covers the heck out of the Cowboys. They know that the demand for Cowboys stuff is through the roof in DFW, so sports departments shovel money at Cowboys coverage. We also know that the guys at Valley Ranch are capable of making Wade Phillips pretty miserable by asking questions that need to be asked.

Are they capable of really holding Jerry to the standard that they should? How many times will Jerry be asked about all of his personnel mistakes this week? How many times will Jerry be asked about whether he is a harmful presence in the lockerroom? How many times will he be asked if he hinders player accountability by his behavior and role in the organization? I know that they're all beaten down, because they feel like they've asked some of those things a few times before, but would that be their attitude if it were Wade Phillips they were questioning on those issues and not the guy who's really in charge of this thing? I have to think that it would be miserable to ask Jerry the real, tough questions repeatedly, but I would really admire anyone who does. Asking Jerry whether he's going to fire Wade is a cop-out. Whether Wade is fired this week is completely inconsequential. Jerry needs to be asked about Jerry. Like, incessantly.

4. Did Jerry really need to poop on Kristi Scales for just doing a good job before the game? He really came off like a bully.
