The latest NFL power rankings are out over at SB Nation and the Dallas Cowboys are 25th in the Week 13 edition. Dallas had moved up to 24th overall following their two game winning streak under interim head coach Jason Garrett, but their loss to the Saints on Thanksgiving day knocked them down a spot.
↵Dallas played well in their loss against the Saints. They had started out down 17 points to the Saints on two occasions - when the Saints grabbed a 17-0 lead and after the two teams exchanged field goals to make the game 20-3. Dallas battled back and held the lead late in the fourth quarter before Drew Brees led the Saints to a 30-27 win. That Dallas played hard and for the most part, played well, against the defending champs is why Dallas only dropped one slot this week.
↵Not surprisingly, there has been no change at the top spot. The New England Patriots remain No. 1 in the power rankings after defeating the Detroit Lions 45-24 on Thanksgiving day. Tom Brady also continued to state his MVP case, completing 21 of 27 passes for 341 yards and four touchdowns.
↵The Steelers and Ravens both reentered the top five. The two teams will meet on Sunday Night Football this weekend to determine AFC North supremacy. The No. 3 Jets will face off against the top-ranked Patriots on Monday Night Football. The Atlanta Falcons, who beat the Packers on Sunday, are the second-ranked team, rounding out the top five.
