Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones injured his hip in Sunday’s victory over the Detroit Lions, leaving his status for this week's game against the New Orleans Saints in doubt.
Jones has yet to practice this week due to his bruised right hip.
“We’ll evaluate it day-to-day,” Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett told reporters after Tuesday’s practice. “One of the problems with a short week is that you have about 72 hours to recover from the previous game. So he got nicked up a little bit. We’ll evaluate it over the next 48 hours and see if he’s ready to go.”
If Jones is unable to go, Marion Barber will get the start with Tashard Choice being the primary backup.
