The latest NFL Power Rankings have been released by SB Nation, and it should come as no surprised that the Dallas Cowboys fell even further this week.
↵Dallas was ranked by SB Nation as the 28th best team last week prior to hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Cowboys made it incumbent upon themselves to prove that the 28th ranking was too high and were dismantled by David Garrard and the Jaguars, losing 35-17. The Cowboys have now allowed 34 or more points in three of their last four games, all of which have resulted in losses.
↵The only teams that were ranked lower than the Cowboys are the winless Bills and the hapless Denver Broncos.
↵There was a shakeup on the other side of the rankings. The reigning No. 1 team, the New York Jets, were shut out by the Green Bay Packers on Sunday and thus dropping from No. 1 to No. 5. The New England Patriots have ascended to the top spot after taking care of business against Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings.
↵The Packers are now the top ranked team from the NFC following their win in New Jersey, moving up to fourth after being ranked 11th last week.
↵Dallas will take on the Packers next Sunday night in Lambeau Field.
