Well, so far, so good. Riding several big plays from Dez Bryant and their defense inside their own 20, the Cowboys lead the Giants 19-6 in their first visit to new Meadowlands Stadium. The Dallas offense has been balanced (12 passes, 11 runs), but it’s been the big plays that have built their lead, as Dez Bryant and Miles Austin have long catches to set up scores and Bryan McCann ran an interception of Eli Manning back 101 yards for a touchdown.
Dallas will get the ball first in the second half, but they do have a few concerns. First, they led the Giants by two scores three weeks ago before losing a blowout. Second, the Giants held the ball for over 20 minutes in the first half and piled up 226 yards. The Cowboys’ defense will have to fight fatigue as their first-game-under-Jason-Garrett adrenaline wears off.
