This late into the season, there are very few true, worthwhile impact running backs and skill players available on the waiver wire. Last week, I picked up Seyi Ajirotutu in my fantasy league who nearly propelled me to victory, but I lost by a fraction of a point for the second time this year. I don't expect consistent performance from Ajirotutu, nor will I plan on starting him going forward really, but his performance is hope enough that you can catch lightning in a bottle for at least one week of the year.
↵With Wade Phillips gone in Dallas and offensive coordinator Jason Garrett at the helm, I expect some changes. Or maybe I'm just too hopeful and put too much stock into Garrett, even on an interim basis.
↵Given that the remainder of this season is essentially an audition for Cowboys players, I would pick up Tashard Choice and stash him on the bench if he's available. Choice expected a bigger workload against Green Bay and was upset after the game with his role in the blowout loss. Of course, when you're losing by four scores early in the game, the running game will get scrapped. Still, with Felix Jones banged up with minor injuries and Marion Barber looking slower and more lifeless than ever, I would pick up Choice. I definitely wouldn't start him against the Giants this weekend but he's worth a roster spot if you've got room.
↵One thing that's also apparent is that the one Cowboy who has been trying is Dez Bryant. He has been fun to watch all season despite how dreadful the Dallas games have been. He's definitely a mega talent and most likely in keeper leagues, he's not available. If he is available in your league still, you should grab him as soon as you can. He's seemed to develop a rapport with backup quarterback Jon Kitna. If he is owned in your league, I suggest trying to trade for him - his owner may think the Cowboys are such a mess that Bryant's value isn't that high. If Dallas continues to play catchup, Bryant's targets will increase. If your league rewards players for return yardage as well, Bryant is an even nicer pickup.
