Harris Interactive has completed their annual poll of the most popular NFL teams, and the Dallas Cowboys top their list for the fourth straight year. I suspect that their popularity within the city limits is not at an all-time high after Sunday's debacle, but the Cowboys still have their national following.
The Colts, Steelers, Packers and Saints round out this year's top five, indicating that recent success can be a key factor, but the Cowboys have ranked below #2 just once since 1998, not exactly the most fruitful period in their history.
