When the No. 9 West Virginia Mountaineers host the No. 25 Baylor Bears it will certainly catch a national spotlight as it is only one of two games on Saturday featuring a head-to-head battle between ranked teams.
The Bears have not looked like a team that misses Robert Griffin III as they have managed to put up huge points in each of their first three games, averaging just more than 51 points in three victories. However, their toughest test of the season so far has been the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks and they haven't faced a team nearly of the caliber of West Virginia.
The Mountaineers also enter Saturday's game with a perfect record and are led by Heisman Trophy-hopeful Gene Smith. With 12 touchdowns and zero interceptions, he is currently considered by most to be the favorite to receive the award, and he leads the nation in completion percentage and is tied with three others for the lead in touchdown passes.
Time, Location: Saturday, Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. CT, Mountaineer Field, Morgantown, W.Va.
