Baylor Tries To Extend Nation's Second-Longest Win Streak

The Baylor Bears head on the road to take on Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday, looking to extend the nation's second-longest winning streak. The Bears, after winning the first two games of the season, have now won eight straight games dating back to 2011.

No. 17 TCU currently holds the longest streak in the nation at ten, while Alabama and South Carolina sit in third with seven straight wins.

The Bears are going to be facing a geared up team and crowd in Monroe, with Warhawks coach Todd Berry expecting a knock-down contest between the two teams.

"You're going to see two teams that are going to go out there and lay it on the line every snap," Berry said. "It's going to be fast-break football like you've never seen before in terms of the speed of the game."

The Warhawks are 1-1 to start the season, coming off a 31-28 overtime loss against Auburn and now welcoming Baylor for the team's home opener in Monroe. Kickoff is set for 7:01 p.m. CT with coverage on ESPN.
