Baylor steps down into the Football Championship Subdivision this week, when they play Sam Houston State at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco. Both squads won their season opener on Sept. 8.
A win stretches Baylor's winning streak to seven, dating back to Nov. 5 of the 2011 season. The Bears beat Southern Methodist 59-24 at home this past Saturday.
Sam Houston State, of the Southland Conference, defeated Incarnate Word at home in Huntsville 54-7 to open up their 2012 campaign. The Bearkats finished second in the FCS last year, losing to North Dakota State in the championship game 17-6.
At halftime, Baylor will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its new stadium, scheduled to open in 2014. The game will be broadcast at 7 p.m. ET on Fox College Sports. There is no line available for this game.
