The Dallas Mavericks may not necessarily be in the rebuilding process, but they could definitely stand to refresh the point guard position. Jason Kidd has made it known that he would like to stick around, and the Mavericks are obviously in the Deron Williams sweepstakes this offseason.
But drafting a point guard with high potential in the middle of the first round is something Dallas also has to consider. Here is one mock draft with the Mavs taking Kendall Marshall of the North Carolina Tar Heels with the 17th pick.
17. Dallas Mavericks: Kendall Marshall, North Carolina
There is no better way to start a youth movement than drafting a point guard. Marshall is the best "pure point" in this class, and his court vision is incredible. He'll be a great heir to Jason Kidd in Dallas.
