Five Texas Longhorns Sign Undrafted Free Agent Contracts With NFL Teams

Four Texas Longhorns football players are joining the three UT players drafted into the NFL over the weekend by signing undrafted free agent contracts - free safety Blake Gideon to Arizona, running back Cody Johnson to Tampa Bay, strong safety Christian Scott to Tennessee, offensive lineman David Snow to Buffalo, and kicker Justin Tucker to the Baltimore Ravens.

Texas blog Barking Carnival addresses the somewhat glaring dearth of Longhorns during the Draft weekend (only three UT players went and the first - Keenan Robinson - didn't go until the fourth round):

Overall, the paucity of total picks, the lack of offensive representation, and where our upper classman talent was rated vis a vis the rest of the country in a fair market value pick 'em demonstrates again how badly the program was being managed in so many areas post MNC, but we've beaten that do death ad nauseam.
