In the latest mock draft from SI.com, Don Banks has the Dallas Cowboys passing up Dre Kirkpatrick, who visited Dallas this week, in order to take his Alabama teammate Courtney Upshaw:

DE/LB Courtney Upshaw Alabama Sr. 6-2 265
The Cowboys have to like their position, because they're going to be in line to fill a need no matter which direction they go. Safety Mark Barron or guard David DeCastro would be solid picks, but in Upshaw they get another edge pass-rush talent to plug into their 3-4 defense.
While Upshaw, who didn't participate in most of the Combine's timed drills, isn't considered an elite athlete on par with other elite edge rushers in the draft like South Carolina's Melvin Ingram, he's a fundamentally sound player and a product of Nick Saban's NFL Draft factory at Alabama.
He had 52 tackles, including 18 for loss as well as 9.5 sacks, in his final season in Tuscaloosa.
