Von Miller Doesn't See Robert Griffin III As An Elite Prospect

One of Robert Griffin III's former college opponents is speaking out about the Heisman Trophy winner to Pro Football Weekly, saying that he is not among the Michael Vick, Cam Newton or even Josh Freeman-level of prospects.

Von Miller, linebacker for the Denver Broncos and former Texas A&M Aggies player who sacked Griffin and forced a fumble on him in 2010 when the Aggies defeated the Bears, admits his bias toward Griffin and that he can't say anything nice about Baylor.

"He can throw the ball pretty well, and he's fast. But if you hit him enough times, he's going to wear down. He can run and throw, but I wouldn't put him in that same class as [Michael] Vick, Cam [Newton] or [Josh] Freeman."

Griffin missed most of the 2009 season after blowing out his knee in a blowout victory over Northwestern State. Since then, Griffin has captured the attention of the nation by working his way up to a Heisman Trophy and possibly the second overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Here is a piece of criticism, while admittedly biased, that speaks to Griffin's football ability, as opposed to the unnamed scout that questioned his character earlier in the week.
