The two teams that are rumored to be really gunning for Baylor's Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Robert Griffin III are the Cleveland Browns and the Washington Redskins. Both teams need help at the quarterback position and since the Indianapolis Colts are obviously going to select Andrew Luck, the next best quarterback in this year's draft is RG3.
The Browns were originally considered the team most likely to grab RG3 because they have two first-round picks to deal, but recent developments involving a certain quarterback from the Green Bay Packers not named Aaron Rodgers may drop the talented RG3 right in the Redskins' hands.
Numerous sources have reported informed LaVar Arrington that the Cleveland Browns are going to make a major offer to the Green Bay Packers to get Matt Flynn, which would take them out of the running for the Baylor quarterback.
"It seems to be a foregone conclusion that the Cleveland Browns are going to go get Matt Flynn," he said. "If that's the case, and it seemed to be kind of confirmed by the people that I discussed it with, which are very, very in my opinion very credible sources. Unless somebody swoops in and steals that free agent away from the Browns, it appears that the Browns are going to make a strong play to go get him."
The Redskins don't have as much to offer the Rams for a trade to get RG3, but they may be one of the only teams willing to package together a few picks to move up, especially if the Browns get Flynn.
