Baylor Already Has Five Commitments For 2013 Cycle

With Robert Griffin III's Heisman Trophy winning season still fresh in everyone's mind, Baylor football is on pace for one of their most highly-touted recruiting classes under fourth-year coach Art Briles.

The Bears made waves Monday when they received a verbal commitment from four-star WR Vequan Jones, a 6'4 200 with 4.4 40 speed.

But while Jones' commitment will certainly help Baylor's recruiting momentum, the other four players already in their 2013 recruiting cycle were all three-star recruits as well:

Trayvon Blanchard is a 6'2 185 LB with elite speed (4.42 40) from Orange, Texas. At the next level, he will need to either put on weight or be moved to the secondary.

Here's a highlight tape from his junior season, courtesy of 24/7 Sports:

Johnny Jefferson is a 5'10 195 RB from Killeen, Texas with game-breaking speed (4.45 40).

On a side note, the lyrics for the rap music in this highlight video from his sophomore season are particularly unimaginative:

The Bears also received commitments from K.J Smith, a 6'4 240 defensive end from Frisco Centennial High School in suburban Dallas and Chris Johnson, a 6'5 195 dual-threat QB from Bryan, Texas.
