The Baylor Bears advance to the Sweet 16 as they pulled away in the second half against the Colorado Buffaloes to win 80-63. At the half was a two-point game and Colorado even led 57-54 at the 10 minute mark in the second half, but they could not build upon that lead. Baylor would immediately go on a 21-3 run to go up by 15 to seal the win.
Baylor was led by Brady Heslip who had a career-high 27 points all on three-point shots and he was a reason why Baylor won. Pierre Jackson was the only other Baylor player who scored in double digits and he had 15 points. The second chance opportunities were also why Baylor won as they had 13 offensive rebounds compared to Colorado's six.
Baylor now moves on to face the winner between Lehigh and Xavier.
