Its official, the Baylor Bears cannot beat the Kansas Jayhawks or the Missouri Tigers.
Two losses to each of their Big 12 conference rivals from up north are the only blemishes on Baylor's impressive 21-4 record, but should this be taken as nothing more than these two teams having Baylor's number or are the Bears ill-equipped to beat an elite team?
Two losses to KU and Mizzou aside, Baylor sits at No. 10 in the latest college basketball rankings. The top two teams, Kentucky and Syracuse, remain unchanged in the polls. The Wildcats are a unanimous No. 1 choice in this week's ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, receiving all 31 first-place votes in the poll released Monday afternoon.
Kentucky and Syracuse are followed by Missouri, Duke and Kansas in the top five. Ohio St., North Carolina, Michigan St. and the Bears round out the top ten.
Gonzaga (No. 24) and Notre Dame (25) both bumped into the rankings, with Creighton (previously No. 15) and Harvard 21) dropping out.
