Both teams are bowl eligible, but Baylor has can gain some ground in the Big 12 bowl hierarchy on Saturday when it hosts Oklahoma State in Waco, Texas. Even though the Bears are at home this weekend and have won two straight over Kansas State and Texas Tech, the odds makers like the Cowboys in this one, putting Oklahoma State as 5-point favorites to open.
Odds makers foresee a patented high-scoring Big 12 affair, putting the over-under at 81 1/2.
The No. 24 Cowboys are coming off a tough overtime loss to their biggest rivals, the Oklahoma Sooners, last weekend that kept the Cowboys out of contention for the conference's upper-tier bowls. Still, Oklahoma State is currently fourth in the conference standings. Baylor is one of nine bowl-eligible teams in the Big 12 and hope to impress bowl officials.
Oklahoma State and Baylor kick off at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday in the regular-season finale for both teams. The game will be televised by FX.
