The Baylor Bears take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday in a Big 12 battle at Cowboys Stadium.
Despite a four-game losing streak, Baylor is searching for bowl eligibility after a 52-24 dismantling of the No. 1 Kansas State Wildcats. For several weeks during the season, the Bears had sported the nation's best passing attack, but it was the run game that plowed over Kansas State. Lache Seastrunk and Glasco Martin combined to rush for 298 yards to power the Bears to the upset win. Baylor's offense now ranks second nationally at 566 yards per game.
The game is the last of the regular season for Texas Tech, who has lost three of its last four after starting the year 6-1. The Red Raiders are trying to recover from a 59-21 beating at the hands of Oklahoma State in which they gained 112 less yards than their average and committed three turnovers. Still, Seth Doege completes 70% of his passes to lead the Red Raiders to the country's best passing offense at 362 yards per game.
Texas Tech leads the all-time series between the two schools, 36-33-1.
