After dominating Lamar in its season opener, the No. 1 Baylor Bears will face its first, true challenge of the season when they take on the No. 6 Kentucky Wildcats in the marquee women's basketball event of the State Farm Tipoff Classic.
In a perfect, 40-0 season that finished with an 80-61 win over Notre Dame in the National Championship Game, the Bears won all but four games by double-digits as they were led by junior Brittney Griner. Now a senior, the three-time All-American and 2012 AP Division I Player of the Year will look to continue that winning streak.
With a win on Tuesday night, the winning streak would reach win No. 42, but they'll have to get past a top 10 program in Kentucky. The Wildcats advanced to the Elite Eight of the 2012 NCAA Women's Tournament, but were eliminated by the Connecticut Huskies.
Tuesday's game is scheduled to tip-off at 5 p.m. CT and will be televised on ESPN2.
