The Baylor Bears trail the Iowa State Cyclones 28-14 after three quarters at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames, Iowa on Saturday night.
The Bears had led 14-7 in the second quarter after a Nick Florence 49-yard touchdown pass to Tevin Reese. The Cyclones would respond with 14 unanswered points thanks to two Steele Jantz touchdown passes, including a 7-yard throw to Jarvis West to give Iowa State a 21-14 lead heading into the half.
The Baylor offense marched down the field on the offense's first possession of the third quarter, only to stall deep inside Iowa State territory. Nick Florence's rush attempt on fourth-and-one would fail, giving the Cyclones the ball at their own 18. Iowa State would then score on the ensuing 81-yard drive, with Jantz responsible for 78 of those yards on a drive capped by an 8-yard toss to Jeff Woody.
Florence is 20-of-32 in the game for 284 yards and one touchdown. Florence is also leading the Bears in rushing with 22 yards on six carries.
Through three quarters, the Cyclones have out-gained the Bears 459-342 while forcing two Baylor turnovers.
