Robert Griffin III's Heisman Might Be Paying Off For Baylor's Recruiting

Is it possible that the highest-profile football season in Baylor history will continue to create success even with Robert Griffin III headed to the NFL? It sure seems that way, at least in recruiting. SB Nation's Bud Elliott covered the commitment of Javonte Magee, one of the nation's top defensive tackles, who chose the Bears over a list of, well, schools Baylor hasn't traditionally beaten on Signing Day:

...Magee stars for San Antonio's Sam Houston High School, and holds offers from Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, Missouri, LSU and Michigan State, among others.

Hard to deny the connection between Griffin's elevation of Baylor's profile and their sudden clout on the recruiting trail. Check out the rest of Elliot's profile on the Magee commitment here, and Baylor Bears coverage nonstop here.
