2012 NFL Draft: Its Official, Baylor Bears QB Robert Griffin III Announces He's Going Pro

Baylor Bears quarterback Robert Griffin III officially announced on Wednesday that he will be leaving the friendly confines of Waco, Texas for the 2012 NFL Draft. Griffin said at his final Baylor press conference, "I pray that I will have the blessing of my coaches and teammates as I move onto the NFL," and asked that fans continue to support the Baylor Bears football program in the future.

The deadline for underclassmen to formally declare for the 2012 NFL draft is this Sunday as Griffin is a 4th-year junior due to a medical hardship from tearing his ACL in 2009.

Griffin is projected as a top-10 pick and several NFL scouts believe have come out and said that he could be drafted as high as the first or second choice depending on his pre-draft workouts and evaluations.
