Baylor Basketball's 16-0 Run Starting To Gain National Attention

Baylor's two-point win over conference foe Kansas State gave the Bears a strong 3-0 start to Big 12 conference play on Monday night, but also moved their overall mark to 16-0 and into the national spotlight.

As Baylor continues to win, they'll look to break a series of records and gain buzz as a potential national title contender. Baylor currently has the first 16-win streak in school history, among only three unbeatens left (Murray State, Syracuse) and - fun fact alert! - is the only Division I school in the nation with both men's and women's basketball teams undefeated (combined 31-0).

SB Nation's new Baylor blog Our Daily Bears calls Monday's win at Kansas State the most impressive so far this year, and a resume builder come NCAA Tournament seeding time:

With all respects to the @BYU game and neutral site wins over Miss St and WVU, this is the most impressive win of the season so far. With the exception of the most elite teams, college basketball seems to be going through a year where home court plays an especially large roll in determining the winner. For those Tourney Experts who love to look at quality road wins, it doesn't look right now like you're going to find 30 teams that stack up well in this regard.
