Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III was named Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week on Sunday, two days after leading the Bears to an upset win over the TCU Horned Frogs in an instant classic.
↵Griffin excelled in the win, going 21-of-27 passing for 327 yards, rushing for 38 yards and even adding a 15 yard reception on Baylor's decisive scoring drive late in the fourth quarter in the 50-48 win over TCU.
↵The Bears had taken a 47-23 lead in the third quarter before the Horned Frogs stormed back for 25 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to take a 48-47 lead. Despite the offense having stalled out for the entire fourth quarter, Griffin led the Bears on an 11 play, 60 yard drive which put them in position to kick the game winning field goal with just over a minute to play.
↵Michigan linebacker Brandon Herron was named Defensive Player of the Week.
