The Bears had taken a 47-23 lead in the third quarter before the Horned Frogs stormed back for 25 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to take a 48-47 lead. Despite the offense having stalled out for the entire fourth quarter, Griffin led the Bears on an 11 play, 60 yard drive which put them in position to kick the game winning field goal with just over a minute to play.
