NBA Draft: Perry Jones Opts To Stay At Baylor

Perry Jones will not declare for the NBA draft this season.

Jones was considered a top five pick in the upcoming draft and his decision to stay in school will have teams at the top of the board scrambling. It's an interesting descion as he is returning to Baylor despite facing a five game suspension by the NCAA for accepting improper benefits. However, with multiple outlets reporting that an NBA lockout is inevitable it's pretty easy to see why Jones decided to stay in school.

This is great news for Baylor fans as they should have a top five team in the nation with Jones returning.

This does not bode well for this year's lottery teams. A weak class has gotten even weaker and there is a very real possibility that even more NBA prospects will opt to stay in school with the looming lockout. This leaves Arizona's Derrick Williams and Duke's Kyrie Irving as the only elite prospects in this draft with the bottom falling out after the first two picks. Kemba Walker and maybe even Enes Kanter (who hasn't played basketball in over a year) could sneak into the top five.
