2011 NCAA Tournament Bubble Watch: Baylor Needs A Win Tonight

It's safe to say that the Baylor Bears have certainly underachieved this year. After beginning the season ranked in the top 25 and beginning the year 7-0, Baylor has scuffled. Baylor currently owns an 18-10 record and 7-7 inside the Big 12 - good for sixth in the conference.

The Bears, until their win against the Aggies on Saturday, had been forecasted to be going to the NIT thanks to their lackluster season, being grouped with some of the last four or eight teams out of the 2011 NCAA Tournament. Saturday's win over the Aggies changed that, though, and SB Nation's latest mock bracket has Baylor as a 12 seed for the 2011 NCAA Tournament.

Baylor heads to Stillwater tonight to take on an Oklahoma State team that Baylor blew out in January, winning 76-57. A loss to the 17-11, 5-9 Cowboys wouldn't necessarily doom Baylor come Selection Sunday, but it sure would put a lot more pressure on the Bears to make a deep run in the Big 12 tournament to secure an at-large bid.

Tonight is simply a game Baylor must win if they want to be playing in the NCAA Tournament and not the NIT in a couple of weeks.
