The 2011 Heisman Trophy's final candidates list is now official, and while we are still not sure who the favorite is, we can now let the real debate begin.
Baylor Bears QB Robert Griffin III is officially going to New York City. Also making reservations in the Big Apple: Stanford Cardinal quarterback Andrew Luck, Alabama Crimson Tide running back Trent Richardson, LSU Tigers defensive back Tyrann Mathieu, and Wisconsin Badgers running back Montee Ball.
Can Griffin be the first Baylor player to ever win the Heisman? Griffin, who is considered one of three leading Heisman Trophy candidates (Luck, Richardson), was the only one in action on the final day of the regular season. RG3 lit up the Texas Longhorns for 320 yards, 2 touchdown passes and two rushing touchdowns for a 48-24 victory. Will it be enough to bring home the hardware? We will find out on Saturday night.
