Baylor and Washington have been invited to this year's Valero Alamo Bowl to be held at the Alamodome on December 29. The Bears and Robert Griffin III edge out Oklahoma for the honor thanks to their 45-38 victory over the Sooners earlier this season.
Washington finished 7-5 on the season and earns its second straight trip to a bowl game under coach Steve Sarkisian. The Huskies benefit from USC's NCAA bowl probation as the Trojans could have made this trip had they been eligible.
This will be the fifth match up all time between the two schools with Baylor holding a 3-1 lead in the series. Robert Griffin III is likely headed to New York for the Heisman presentation but the Huskies have their own high power star in running back Chris Polk who rushed for 1,341 yards this season. Before the Huskies defeated Washington State in the regular season finale, they had dropped four of its previous five games.
