The Longhorns have also been rumored as a possible candidate for the Holiday Bowl in San Diego. Texas finished 7-5 on the season after losing to Baylor 48-24 to end the season. Texas lost three of its last four games.

Kansas State finished with a 10-2 record after defeating Iowa State 30-23 on Saturday. The Wildcats are hopeful for a BCS at-large selection but should they be passed over it will likely shuffle down some of the other Big 12 teams in the bowl pecking order.
