While fans await the shakeout at the top of the BCS standings from the voters as to who will face off versus the LSU Tigers in the national championship game in New Orleans, the Baylor Bears and the Texans Longhorns will look at their upcoming bowl games as big rewards based off of last year's success.
Based on the latest 2011 bowl projections, Art Briles and his Baylor Bears football team will be looking to take their talents to Tempe, Arizona to play in the Insight Bowl versus the Penn State Nittany Lions. Both teams have finished their seasons 9-3 and the December 30th game will be sure to have plenty of interesting story lines from Robert Griffin III's magical season to the turmoil surrounding the Penn State program.
For the Texas Longhorns, due to their traveling fan base and improved 7-5 season in 2011, their reward looks to be the Holiday Bowl in San Diego. There, they would conceivably face off against the 7-5 California Golden Bears, who will have a much shorter distance to travel to face the Longhorns.
