With heavyweight teams falling left and right, a relatively weak non-conference schedule hasn't hurt the 7-0 Baylor Bears with the pollsters too much, as Baylor checks in at No. 6 in the latest AP poll and No. 7 in the coaches.

The Bears are the highest ranked of four Big 12 teams in the latest polls; they are followed by Missouri (No. 8, No. 10), Kansas (No. 12 in both) and Texas A&M (No. 22 in both).

They have yet to be really challenged this season, storming through an easy slate of non-conference games despite missing star forward Perry Jones III due to an amateurism-related violation for the first five.

But with their entire roster now back, their non-conference schedule will pick up in the next few weeks, as Baylor faces recent NCAA Tournament teams BYU, Saint Mary's and West Virginia as well as No. 16 Mississippi State in Dallas on Dec. 28.
