Isaiah Austin: Baylor Basketball Expected To Sign Top 5 Recruit Today

The athletic 7'0 highlights another excellent recruiting class for Scott Drew's staff.

If the early signing day for the men's basketball class of 2012 goes according to plan, Baylor will solidify themselves as one of the premier programs in the country.

After signing Perry Jones III in 2010 and Quincy Miller in 2011, Scott Drew has once again secured a commitment from one of the top players in the country: Isaiah Austin, a 7'0 200 center out of Burleson, Texas.

Austin, the nephew of former NBA center Ike Austin, is ranked as the No. 3 player in the country by ESPN

He shows incredible athleticism for a man his size in highlight tapes, and he is expected to be a lynch-pin in the Bears 2-3 zone defense. His offensive game, however, is still considered a work in progress.

Baylor's 2012 recruiting class is ranked No. 10 in the nation by ESPN, with Top 100 PG L.J. Rose (Houston) and 6'9 forward Chad Rykhoek (Fort Worth) expected to join Austin in Waco.
