BCS Rankings Projections, Week 14: TCU Is Close To The Coveted No. 16 Spot

TCU and Baylor both need help if they even want to be considered for a BCS bowl bid.

The TCU Horned Frogs are holding out hope that they can reach a BCS bowl game this year. This week all TCU could do was to watch and see which teams won or loss to see where they would move in the BCS. The good news is that TCU is expected to move up to the No. 18 spot, but that is not high enough to be considered for the automatic BCS berth from the non-automatic qualifying leagues which is No. 16. TCU also needs the Houston Cougars to not win Conference USA, and now being projected at the 18 spot, TCU will need some other teams to lose this next weekend. Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan State and Baylor all play this upcoming weekend so there is a chance for TCU to move into the No. 16 spot.

As for the Baylor Bears they are outside of the at-large pool of teams and they need to climb to the No. 14 spot to be considered and moving up that high is a possibility since the above mentioned teams are ranked ahead of Baylor which will effect their final BCS rankings. As for this week's BCS projected rankings, Baylor is set to move up one spot and be ranked No. 17.
