With just a few weeks left before the 2013 NFL combine, the list of invites to Indianapolis has finally been released. A total of 333 players will be looking to make a lasting impression at Lucas Oil Stadium, with several big names from the state of Texas making the trip.
Kenny Vaccaro headlines the group from the University of Texas this year. The 6-foot-1, 218-pound safety should be a high selection when April rolls around. Mocking the Draft's latest prediction has Vaccaro going the Titans at No. 10 overall.
Alex Okafor will be another big name present for the Longhorns. Several mock drafts have the defensive end going late in Round 1. His showing at the Senior Bowl seemed to help his draft stock. Marquise Goodwin will also be in attendance. Three Longhorns total may seem a bit under the standard quota at the combine.
Texas A&M is sending potential No. 1 overall pick Luke Joeckel, along with Christine Michael, Damontre Moore, Sean Porter, Jonathan Stewart, and Ryan Swope.
Texas Christian has three players on the list, including Josh Boyce, Stansly Maponga, and Matthew Tucker. Finally, Baylor will send Lanear Sampson and Terrance Williams.
The combine begins on Feb. 20. Expect to see plenty of action from players around this region.
