Best Super Bowl 2013 commercials: Budweiser goes with sentimental approach

Looking back at some of the best TV spots on Super Bowl Sunday, we reflect on Budweiser's sentimental ad.

Chris Graythen

Super Bowl XLVII has been determined, and the Baltimore Ravens are your world champions. It was quite a show that went down in New Orleans, as the Ravens and 49ers traded haymakers till the very end. The intensity was so high that the commercial breaks were like breaths of fresh air.

While this year's TV spots may have slightly lacked, there were a couple of good ads. Of the recurring companies to always solidify ground on Super Bowl Sunday, Budweiser put in for some air time once again.

They went with the sentimental approach rather than slapstick humor, which is another popular philosophy for Super Bowl ads. Budweiser has had a versatile collection of Super Bowl ads in recent memory. Perhaps their most legendary campaign was the three frogs on a log, chirping "BUD-WEIS-ERR."

This ad did not fall in line with that same genre, but it was a classic clip nonetheless.
