SB Nations' Mocking The Draft released their latest mock draft Monday morning, and they have the Dallas Cowboys selecting Florida DT Sharrif Floyd with the 18th overall pick.
The hiring of DC Monte Kiffin makes this fairly straightforward--if he ditches the 3-4 and goes to his Tampa 2 scheme, they will need immediate help along the front four:
Floyd is the kind of lineman who can play outside in power three-man fronts or tackle in a four-man set. He may need to play inside after nose tackle Jay Ratliff played in just six games this season and Josh Brent's playing future looking bleak.
There are other needs for the Cowboys if they don't go this direction. Offensive line is the biggest one, and guys like Oklahoma OT Lane Johnson, Alabama C/G Barrett Jones and G Chance Warmack may be available here. Linebacker depth is another concern that should be addressed in the later rounds.
