BMW Championship Leaderboard: Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods And Jimmy Walker Among Early Leaders

Rory McIlroy eagled the par-5 15th hole and shot seven other birdies en route to finishing 8-under in the first round of the 2012 BMW Championship on Thursday at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind.

He is currently tied at the top of the leaderboard with Americans Bo Van Pelt and Webb Simpson, and Canadian Graham DeLaet. Tiger Woods shot a 7-under 64, finishing one stroke behind the leaders, with Texas A&M Aggies alumnus Ryan Palmer behind him at 6-under.

San Antonio's Jimmy Walker shot six birdies to card a 5-under par 65, good for seventh place through one round of the tournament. University of Texas alumnus Bob Estes was 2-under after 17 holes, tying him with, amongst others, Colleyville, Texas, resident Hunter Mahan. Greg Chalmers, who was born in Australia but lives in Dallas, was 3-over after 16 holes.
