The FedEx Cup Playoffs continue on Thursday with the BMW Championship at Crooked Sticks Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana. The event marks the third leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs and begins at 12:15 a.m. ET.
Rory McIlroy takes a large lead into the event, a tournament that features the top 70 golfers in FedEx Cup points after last week's Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston. McIlroy boasts the win at Deutsche Bank, an event he won by one stroke. He holds a lead of nearly 1,300 points over second-place golfer Nick Watney in the FedEx Cup standings.
Tiger Woods lurks behind Watney in third place after a third-place finish at the Deutsche Bank Championship. Woods finished behind South African Louis Oosthuizen last week, who climbed 16 spots to fifth place in the FedEx Cup standings with his performance.
Hunter Mahan from Colleyville, Texas heads the group of Texans in action at the tournament, currently in 14th place in the playoff standings. Baylor's Jimmy Walker is in 46th place, while Texas Longhorn Bob Estes is in 62nd place.
