After a win at the 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship, Rory McIlroy has jumped from No. 4 to No. 1 in the FedEx Cup Standings. It was the third win of the year for the No. 1-ranked golfer in the world.
Going into the third week of the Playoffs, Nick Watney is 1331 points behind McIlroy in second place. Tiger Woods, who finished third at the tournament in Norton, Mass., is third in the standings, sitting 1382 points behind McIlroy.
Louis Oosthuizen, who finished second in the tournament, jumped from 21st to fifth in the standings.
Ben Crane, who resides in Westlake, Texas, dropped from 52nd to 67th. Hunter Mahan, who lives in Colleyville, Texas, fell from 12th to 14th. Austin native Bob Estes remained at 62nd. K.J. Choi, resident of Southlake, Texas, went from 95th to 98th. Martin Flores of Dallas stayed at 100th and Rod Pampling, who lives in Flower Mound, Texas, stayed at 107th.
