The Tour Championship 2012: Justin Rose Leads, Tiger Woods Lurks In Second

First round play at the 2012 Tour Championship is winding down at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, and Justin Scott leads the field by one-stroke after shooting a 66 on Thursday afternoon.

Tiger Woods, who still has five holes to play, headlines a group of five golfers who are currently in second place at 3-under, including Scott Piercy, Bo Van Pelt, Steve Stricker and Matt Kuchar, who are all in the clubhouse with opening round 67s.

The FedEx Cup is up for grabs as four golfers; Woods, Rory McIlroy, Nick Watney and Phil Mickelson each have an opportunity to win the points title with a tournament victory in Atlanta.

Texas native Hunter Mahan finished the day tied for seventh place with a 2-under 68 to begin his Tour Championship.
